BOU25-TIMECHAMPION
Repsol Honda Team rider Toni Bou won
his thirteenth FIM X-Trial world title
at the season’s penultimate trial held
in Marseille, France, taking his world
championship tally to 25 (12 outdoor
titles from TrialGP). Bou has won 13
consecutive titles since winning his fi rst
crown back in 2007.
BROKEN HEEL SIDELINES PLESSINGER
Monster Energy Yamaha’s Aaron
Plessinger crashed out of the 450SX
Main Event at Daytona Supercross with
x-rays later revealing a broken heel.
Plessinger is in his rookie season in the
450SX class with his best fi nish a fi fth
at Atlanta. It’s unclear how many rounds
the Yamaha rider will miss.
ANTI-DOPING POLICY UPDATED
Motorcycling Australia has updated its
anti-doping policy following discussions
with the Australian Sports Anti-Doping
Authority (ASADA). Key changes to
policy relate to the confi dentiality
requirements for members confi rmed
to have violated anti-doping
rules. Summary of changes are: New
Article 7.13 regarding irregularities
not invalidating a notice, Amendment
to Article 14.1.5 in relation to
confi dentiality and amendment to Article
14.3.1 to include disclosure by a sporting
administration body when an athlete is
on a provisional suspension. Read the full

NEW LOCATION FOR DIRT TRACK
The 2019 Australian Senior Dirt Track
Championship has moved from Cowra
to Barleigh Ranch Raceway, Eagleton,
New South Wales on the same dates, 5-
October. Motorcycling Australia (MA)
stated the move is due to “unforseen
circumstances”. For details on how to

WOMEN IN MOTORCYCLING
The FIM Women in Motorcycling
Commission has started a new four
year period with 20 members, from
19 nationalities and six different
continents! Australian member and
Motorcycling WA’s President, Tracy
Simpson, was in attendance.
WESS EXPANDS
Spain’s Hixpania Hard Enduro is now the
fourth round of the World Enduro Super
Series from 21-23 June, in place of the
proposed Italian Classic Enduro.

POOL TOPS $53K!
THE PRIZE POOL for the
upcoming King of MX NSW State
Titles has reached $53,000.
Once the state champions
have been determined over
three motos from across MX1,
MX2, Veterans and C Grade, the
top riders will be entered into
the All Powers feature race.
The winner collects $10,000.
The top three in each class
will also receive cash or prizes.

EVERTS’ MALARIA
INTENSIFIES
DOCTORS HAVE amputated
Stefan Everts’ right small
toe due to infection as his
fi ght with malaria continues.
The 10-time motocross world
champion contracted the
infectious disease in November
last year while at a charity
event in the Democratic
Republic of the Congo and was
admitted to the University
Hospital Leuven, Belgium
where he was placed in a coma.
His condition improved
throughout December, but
after coming out of the coma
Everts experienced pain in his
right foot from an infection
in a wound. As a last resort,
doctors amputated Everts’ toe.
Everts’ stated “The
condition has returned to a
good level, so I’m not going to
