where the 1850 left off, scoring high in
Innovation and Fishability; Bar Crusher’s
730 Hard Top did well for Design and
Layout, plus Handling and Ride.
BELOW LEFT TO RIGHT Surtees’ smallest
hardtop, the 5.5 offered good Handling and
Ride and Fishability; Savage’s 585C scored
highest for Value for Money in Fibreglass
and did well in Quality of Finish.
Haines Hunter called in the big guns, twisting the
arm of sponsored angler Jack Auld and his 675
Offshore to show how a serious angler sets up his
dream boat. It worked too, with the Haines Hunter
a judges’ favourite from first glance.
