pay homage to the genre. This image depicts a

high-altitude pursuit between a Eurofighter and an

MiG-29, and you want to convey a sense of heightened

realism with rich colour and a slightly illustrative feel.

While plane renders are generated in 3D software,

which does allow a good deal of creative freedom,

Photoshop lets us break free of the limitations of the

render and quickly build up a final illustration that

integrates 3D elements, photo backgrounds and

effects as well as develop a unique colour look. The

speed of this process is what makes Photoshop an

indispensable part of the 3D rendering workflow.
