The old ways are still the best

the latest Lürssen
From float-outs to crane-ins, the methods
of launching a yacht have evolved over
time, becoming more graceful but less
dramatic. So when Lürssen launched its
new 95m Project Fiji via the traditional
slipway technique, it certainly made a big
impression. The finished yacht, sold by
Moran Yacht & Ship to a repeat client from
North America, will make an even bigger
impression when it is delivered in 2019,
with its 12m swimming pool, foredeck
helipad, integrated fireplace and walk-
on upper deck skylight. British studio
Harrison Eidsgaard penned the muscular
exterior, while Laura Sessa Design is
developing a “contemporary” interior that
will sleep up to 20 guests in 10 lavish cabins.
