also proposal to develop 2.6 km
long Vrindavan Parikrama Marg at
a cost of Rs. 9.26 crore.
For Ajmer and Pushkar, Rs.
60.98 crore will be spent in five
zones on various projects, including
development works at Brahma
Temple at a cost of Rs. 8.72 crore
and development of cultural park at
Subhash Udyan in Ajmer at a cost
of Rs. 13.60 crore.
The city of Golden Temple, Am-
ritsar has been allotted Rs. 69 crore
budget under the HRIDAY scheme.
The project included development
and upgradation of 21 major roads
leading to the Golden Temple, im-
proved storm sewer drainage and
street scape and landscape develop-
ment by creating a 300-metre
buffer pedestrian zone around the
Golden Temple.
Apart from that Rs. 7.35 crores
would be spent on Rambagh Gar-
den recreational area and upgrada-


tion of the Maharaja Ranjit Singh
Panorama, a parking, Rs. 6 crore on
Gobindgarh Fort and Durgiana
Mandir rea. Apart from that there
will be solid waste management
system and an environmental park
as a part of the HRIDAY.
For Gaya of the total budget, Rs..
15.60 crore will be used for the for
development of basic facilities at
the Vishnupad temple, which is one
of the famous religious destination.
Funds will be also used to improve
the infrastructure at Bodh Gaya,
which is the Buddhist tourist desti-
nation. The hills are an important
part of the natural heritage of the
city, so plans will include afforesta-
tion schemes as Smriti Van by the
citizens, with view-points and
walking trails.
Amaravati has rich history and it
is also an important destination for
Buddhist. The allocated fund will
be used to develop the city as a tour-
ist destination.
For Warrangal, the fund will be
utilized to restore the temple with
1,000 pillars. The city has been di-
vided into five heritage wealth zone
for easier development. They are
Fort Warrangal, Vaddepalli tank,
Bandhrakali temple Foreshore
bund and Kazipet Dharga. The city
will also create a special ropeway
for the tourists.
For Dwaraka in Gujarat, the fo-
cus is on making the town more
visitor-friendly at a cost of Rs. 19.56
crore through landscape develop-
ment, footpaths and provision of
other amenities including proper
waterway to Bet Dwaraka.
The church town of Vellankini in
Tamil Nadu will get a makeover
with an investment of Rs 42.26
crore, including development of a
cultural park at a cost of Rs 8 crore
and relocation of a new bus stand at
a cost of Rs. 6 crore.<
