Four huge cranes flip
the 266ft hull of Project
RH400 in Vollenhove
As the world ’s largest aluminum sailing yacht, the world ’s largest
Asian-owned yacht and the biggest Royal Huisman project to date,
Project RH400 is set to smash three records on delivery in 2020.
The Dutch yard recently gave the world a first glimpse of this 266ft
schooner when the mammoth hull was rolled out of the specially
extended build hall in Vollenhove and flipped over with the help
of four enormous cranes. “It may look like a contemporary modern
sailing yacht now but in 50 years’ time it will be a classic,” predicts
Dykstra Naval Architects, which collaborated with Mark Whiteley
Design on the super-sailer. Watch a time-lapse video of this
