SUNSAIL REOPENS IN ST. MARTIN
After the recent hurricanes Sunsail charters have re-opened in St Martin
with a new base location at Marina Fort-Louis in the French capital.
The quirky half-Dutch, half-French island offers a blend of easy island-
hopping with adventurous open-water passages to remote shores.
Adding to the adventure is the opportunity for some luxury. Spiga
Restaurant in Grand Case has been voted the best fine dining restaurant
in the Caribbean by TripAdvisor travellers. Spiga is located at the quiet
northern end of Grand Case, away from mid-village crowds and noise in
an authentic Caribbean Creole-style building.
St Martin rivals the British Virgin Islands as the popular sailing
destination in the Caribbean, with nearby anchorages such as Pinel
Island and Friar Bay.
Dive among natural reefs, sunken ships and tropical fish around
St. Kitts; drop your anchor at St. Barths for elegant boutiques or
head for postcard-perfect Anse de Colombier to swim and snorkel the
remote, shimmering waters of its horseshoe-shaped bay. St. Martin’s
neighbouring islands offer remote, unspoilt anchorages, secluded
Caribbean coves and vibrant reefs.
RRP: AU$769 per person for a group of six for seven nights.
