This month: the winners of the Boat International Design & Innovation Awards revealed, plus Sir Ben Ainslie on trying again
Champagne was smashed and crowds cheered as
Planet Nine made her grand entrance – but this was
no ordinary yacht launch. The new Italian Sea Group
flagship is notable not just for her length (73.2m), but
also for going straight onto the charter market after
her delivery, scheduled for March, where she will be
listed with Edmiston & Company. Her fully certified
aft deck helipad means charter guests can make a
spectacular arrival before exploring the 2,100GT
interior designed by Mlinaric, Henry & Zervudachi.
The yard explains that the décor “recalls classic taste
and [an] elegant atmosphere, with a touch of sober
modernity”. With star features including a beach club
spa and a panoramic upper deck, guests may never
want to leave – and they don’t have to, as Planet Nine
is also listed for sale with Fraser. admiral-yachts.com
