Plan Time
work, change it.” That principle has given me freedom to let
go of all sorts of failing routines and cumbersome processes
in order to create a plan that works in light of my wiring
and needs in that season of life.
And if you’re in a place in life where the to- do list feels
insurmountable, put one foot in front of the other with this
advice from life coach Carey Bailey:
When you feel overwhelmed, choose to zoom in on life.
Think about what three things you can do in the next two
hours, and discover your focus in the few things that can get
done rather than the pile that feels impossible.
The Impact of Plan Time
Remember to tie your priorities, process, and practical appli-
cation all back to the morning anchor with this question: Am
I consistent in submitting my plans to God? This is a time to
review where we feel God is leading, remember our plans for
the day, and surrender it all to Him afresh so our plans never
become an idol of accomplishment.
If we want to live effectively, there is no better way than to
submit our time and plans to God. That will look different for
different personalities in different seasons of life. The key for
you is to understand how God made you, where He’s leading
you, and how you can best get there.
