I have calmed myself down completely,

The Word of God

Set reading

In this world, in this human state, in this history, there is one thing
certain: the signs of your presence are luminous; Jesus Christ has
died and risen for us and not only for us but for the whole world.
Therefore the hope of humanity rests upon this fact: God has loved
the world. Such is the reality shown by the death and resurrection of
the Lord.^362

Prayer

Free prayer..... ., or...

I believe, but help my unbelief. I want to obey you, but put an end
to all that is too soft in me, or too hard, so that I can truly obey you.
I trust you, but expel all fantasies out of my heart and head, so that
I may trust you fully and gladly. I flee to you, but help me to leave
behind all that must be left and look to the future, walking on with
quiet confidence. Amen.^363

Conclusion

Lord my God, give me a mind to know you, a heart to seek you,
wisdom to find you, conduct pleasing to you, faithful perseverance
in waiting for you and the hope of finally embracing you. Amen.^364
