The Psalms 127

Psalm 43

Judge for me, O God; back my cause against a loveless society.
Rescue me from the false and dishonest person.
If you are God my refuge, why have you rejected me?
Why am I going about gloomy at the oppression of an enemy?

Send your light and your truth, they will guide me;
they will bring me to your holy mountain and to your home.
So I will come to God’s altar, to God my greatest joy
and I will praise you with the harp, O God, my God.

Why am I so downhearted?
And why am I churned up inside?
Hope in God, because I will praise him again,
my saviour and my God.

Psalm 47

All nations clap your hands;
cry out to God with a resounding shout.
Because the LORD most high inspires awe;
a great king over all the earth.
He subdues nations under us and countries beneath our feet.
He has chosen a place for us to live;
the excellent land of Jacob, whom he loved......

God goes up with a loud shout,
the LORD with a trumpet blast.
Sing to God, sing out!
Sing to our king, sing out!
Because God is king of all the earth
sing out a thoughtful song.

God reigns over other nations;
God sits on his holy throne.
Rulers of nations will gather with the people of the God of Abraham,
because the kings of the earth belong to God.
He is very exalted.
