that strengthens executive functioning
skills, resulting in a focused and relaxed
student with only 5 minutes of practice per
day. It was created by mindfulness experts
in collaboration with teachers in a public
school (Center for Mindful Learning). The
program trains teachers and gives them
access to an interactive online curriculum
that supports them while teaching
mindfulness to youth (applications).
Training is for educators of children 5 to
18 years old.

Provides eight weekly 45-minute sessions of
yoga, meditation, and breathing exercises set
to music along with opportunities for
self-expression through writing and visual arts.
Focus is on children’s hyperactive behavior and
symptoms of attention-deficit/hyperactivity
disorder (ADHD), and results in a decrease
in inattentiveness, according to teacher
observations.

The program integrates stories, exercise, and
self-regulation to build fitness, focus, and
learning readiness. The curriculum includes
lesson plans for 30 weeks with over 200
movement and mindfulness-building activities
(stories, cooperative games, mindfulness
activities, music). It also includes nine yoga/
movement video classes, 16 skill flash cards,
a poster, and three CDs for K and first
grades.

students and faculty in the Transcendental
Meditation technique at school and with
follow-up support. Training to become a
teacher of Transcendental Meditation is
open to everyone and involves 5 months of
in-residence training. Designed to become
a permanent, ongoing part of a school’s
curriculum.
