ALT YOGURTS

CALIFIA FARMS
PROBIOTIC YOGURT DRINK
This drink is made from
almonds and coconut
cream and puts other
almond-based drinks to
shame. There’s no chalky
aftertaste! Mango and
Super Berry were tester
favorites. The former is
150 calories and provides
3 grams of fiber. It also
doesn’t overdo it on
the fat grams—just
7 grams per serving.
$2.70 for an 8-oz. bottle
at stores nationwide

FORAGER CASHEWGURT
Made from—you guessed
it—cashews, it’s hard
to believe this creamy
yogurt is dairy-free. Vanilla
was the favorite flavor with
no fake aftertaste. It’s just
140 calories and has
6 grams of fat. Forager
also has flavored Coconut
Cashewgurts made with
coconut cream—try it in
Lime—for 120 calories.
$2 for a 5.3-oz. container
at stores nationwide

SO DELICIOUS
COCONUTMILK YOGURT
ALTERNATIVE
This coconut milk base is a delicious
dairy-free way to get live and active
cultures. The Plain flavor was the
most liked among testers, but
Vanilla was also popular. This yogurt
alternative makes for a satisfying
snack or breakfast—1 cup of the plain
has 170 calories, 7 grams of fat, and
3 grams of fiber. $1.90 for a 5.3-oz.

CHOBANI GREEK YOGURT DRINK
When a spoon is just too much, opt
for the drinkable yogurts made from
cow’s milk. Get 11 grams of protein and
a caffeine jolt with the Coffee & Cream
flavor for 180 calories. One drink has
the same amount of caffeine as a cup of
coffee. If you’d rather get your probiotics
a sweet way, opt for the Peach flavor.
Enjoy it for 140 calories. Keep an eye
out for Chobani’s new nondairy single-
serve drinks made from coconut.
$1.70 for a 7-oz. bottle at stores nationwide

SILK DAIRY-FREE
YOGURT ALTERNATIVE
A dairy-free yogurt that is
a good source of protein?
Yes, please. Made from
soy, one serving has
6 grams of protein and
3.5 grams of fat. The
not-too-sweet Blueberry
and Peach Mango won
over our testers. $1.70 for
a 5.3-oz. container at stores
nationwide

Just because a product
is billed as a “yogurt
alternative” doesn’t mean
it has the same nutrients as
cow’s-milk yogurt. Many
nondairy yogurts do not have
comparable protein. On the
flip side, plant-based versions
are often higher in fiber.
Both protein and fiber keep
hunger at bay. Take note of
saturated fat—too much spells
trouble for your heart. For
better gut health, seek out
products with “probiotic-rich”
or “contains live and
active cultures” on the label.
