Freedom Models

On display at one of the importers
stands were two new kits from,
Freedom models. The 1/35 Nike
Hercules missile with its launcher
was quite impressive as was
the 1/48 scale Curtiss though
the Chinese markings were not
the most colourful, but you also
have examples from Siam and
Argentina included in the box,
which are a lot more colourful.

Not one new aircraft tooling

was to be seen on the Hasegawa

stand though there were a lot

of reissues with new decals.

But for 1/72 scale modelers

there was something that may

be of interest in the shape of a

very nice Rosenbaur Panther

6x6 Airport crash tender, a type

that can be seen at airields

around the world in both

military and civilian markings.

their armour kits this Polish

manufacturer seems determined

to produce every aircraft from

PZl built between 1932 and 1939.

There is no timeline or release

dates so the full range may

take some time to appear.

Brengun

As ever it was good to see

Brengun at Nuremberg and

see what models they have in

store for us over the coming

year. Japanese subjects seem

to be getting a lot of attention

recently and Brengun are

continuing that theme in 1/72

scale with the Ohka model 22

suicide plane, and a couple

of resin kits of Japanese

airield equipment which will

certainly add to any diorama.

Fans of interwar civil

aircraft will no doubt be

pleased to see the release of a

1/48 scale resin Messerschmitt

B.f.W. M-23 b, open tandem

cockpit low wing monoplane.
