his month SAC are

concentrating on the

large scales in 1/48

Liberator. The Preparation

of these sets is really

simple just a few minutes

work with a jewellers ile

to remove any trace of

lash from the edge of the

castings and then attach

with super glue or epoxy.

CONCLUSION

I have the B-24 on my to do pile

and it is a Beast of a kit, very heav y

before adding any resin or brass

that may become available so

these legs will be needed and have

already been added to it’s box

and will appear in a future issue.

RB Productions

T

he latest saw blade from

RB productions looks very

peculiar, each etched fret

contains two V shaped stainless

steel saw blades with the saw

tooth on the inner edge of the V.

At irst I could not igure out their

purpose until I looked at the RB

web site and saw the image I have

included in this build as it shows

exactly what this style of blade

can do. It is perfect for removing

protruding parts and will be

perfect for removing delicate

parts from the sprues with

minimal risk of damaging them.

CONCLUSION

Another very useful tool from

RB productions which at just

5 Euros ofers very good value

for money. This and the rest of

the range from RB Productions

Djiti Production

T

his French

manufacturer will

be familiar to many

armour modellers for their

1/35 scale resin igures. And

now they have produced

four sets of 1/48 scale igures

and this month we will have

two of thes new sets.

The irst supplies two

USAAF cpilots perfect for any

European based P-38, P-47

and P-51 Mustang. One thing I

really liked is that both pilots do

not have identical body shapes

just like real people were both

manufacturers back all their

igures the same size and build.

The second set provides

a German pilot climbing out

of his Messerschmitt Bf-109

though could also be used with a

Fw-190. I also think he has more

than a passing resemblance

to German Ace Adolf Galland

and I am planning on posing

mthis igure with a Me-262!

All of these sets are

beautifully cast and a test

it shows that with minimal

clean up it is nearly perfect.

CONCLUSION

Ir really like the casting on

these igures and I really

hopew they sell well enough

that this manufacturer will

consider 1/32 scale versions

which for my aging eyes

would be easier to paint.
