is a trusty Iwata HP-CH but for
the mottling, I took out my H&S
Ininity with the 0,2 nozzle set.
After some pre-shading with
white/NATO black I applied the
upper than the lower colours.
I built up the inal colours in
very light layers to keep the
pre-shading efect. I then
masked the demarcation line
with Blue-Tac. I made the
mottling freehand used very
well thinned (70% thinner +
30% paint + some retarder)
paint. You can work with the
H&S set to a very low pressure
with such a thin mix and the
controllability is really great.
I now set aside the kit to dry
overnight so I had time to
inish the landing gear and
the propeller. I cleaned the
white metal undercarriage
adding brake lines from lead
wire. The propeller is a jewel
and I really liked how well the
blades it into the hub. I painted
mine with Alclad polished
aluminium without any varnish
so not to ruin the beautiful
metal efect. I now applied a
gloss varnish on the airframe,
