WICKENBY, LINCS – A new resident noted on 1st June was Robin
DR400 G‑CGXL. Also present was Cessna FRA150L G‑PNIX on lease to
Lincoln Flight. The latter was still present on the 15th June.

WOLVERHAMPTON HALFPENNY GREEN, STAFFS – Further to last
month, Falconar F11 G‑AWHY was still hangared here on 26th June,
despite its Horsham owner, although it may have just been here for
Permit Renewal? Also present on the 26th were Piper PA‑28‑180C
G‑AVBT (Birmingham owner), X‑Air 582 G‑BZHJ (PCOO showing on
G-INFO) and Pipistrel Virus PH‑VIR [VSW1210007]. AutoGyro Cavalon
G‑CLGG is also based with Rotorsport’s Gerry Speich. Escapade G‑ESCP
(Permit to Fly expired 10th June 2018) was dismantled with no wings,
while WAR FW190 G‑SYFW (Permit expired 13th September 2016,
marked as 7334/2+1) was also dismantled and being worked on,
probably before going to its new Halstead owner. In with Rotorsport
UK were AutoGyro MTOSport G‑CIRT, Cavalon G‑CLAZ and MT‑03
G‑PILZ.

WOODMANCOTE, W. SUSSEX – Sea King HU.5 XV705/29 is currently
stored at the premises of Hayward and Green Aviation here.

WORMINGFORD, ESSEX – Noted stored in an open trailer here during
the Essex & Suffolk Gliding Club Fun Day on 30th June was SZD‑30
Pirat G‑DDAN (CofA expired 8th June 2016).

WYCOMBE AIR PARK, BUCKS – Updating BIR2019, Chipmunk 22A
G‑ARMC (marked as WB703) is now based here rather than White
Waltham.

ABERDEEN INTERNATIONAL, ABERDEEN – Eurocopter EC225LP
G‑ZZSI has been returned to the lessor (re‑registered 14th June 2019
to Wilmington Trust SP Services (Dublin) Ltd) and was roaded out and
noted 5th July Southbound on the M6 near Congleton.

ERROL, PERTH & KINROSS – Gannet T.5 XG882/LM‑771, which has
been stored here for many years, is now displayed outside Morris Leslie
Vehicle Auctions, adjacent to the old airfield. Vampire T.11 XD403
(marked as XE897) and Buccaneer S.2B XN981 are in deep storage and
not available for public viewing.

GLASGOW, RENFREWSHIRE – On 25h June Daher TBM940 N940WE
[1287] passed through on delivery from Tarbes‑Lourdes to Keflavik en
route to Groton, CT.

GLASGOW PRESTWICK, S. AYRSHIRE – The Moroccan Air Force Avro
146‑RJ100 CNA‑SM, which arrived for work by Chevron on 22nd April,
finally departed on 11th July.

PERTH, PERTH & KINROSS – New here on 7th July was Pioneer 300
G‑ISBD (PCOO showing on G-INFO).

PORTMOAK, FIFE – Slingsby Cadet TX.2 VW531 has been discovered
under restoration at a private location near here.

WICK JOHN O’GROATS, CAITHNESS – Epic LT N468VL [012] arrived
from Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic on 29th June, night‑stopped
and then departed to Keflavik en route to Redmond, OR.
Then on 4th July D‑FALL (type not reported) arrived from Keflavik
en route to its new home in Germany. On the 5th Cessna 208B N23SG
arrived from Reykjavik and proceeded on to Old Sarum, finally being
delivered to its new home at Dunkeswell on the 10th.
The 6th saw Cirrus SR22T N37SJ [1927] passing through from
Keflavik to Groningen en route to its new home at Schönhagen in
Germany and Pilatus PC‑12 D‑FHRG arrived from Schönhagen and
departed to Reykjavik en route to Wheeling, IL.

STURGATE, LINCS – Resident Piper J3C‑65 G‑BROR has been repainted
in USAAC colours and now wears 329594 on its tail (ANO Exemption
issued 26th April).


SUTTON BANK, N. YORKS – New here is Piper PA‑18‑150 D‑EFER [18‑
5347], which arrived on 11th April, via Breighton.


SYWELL, NORTHANTS – Hispano HA.1112‑M1L Buchon G‑AWHR made
its first post‑restoration flight here on 1st July. It has reportedly been
sold to a new owner in Germany and will presumably be delivered on
test flying is completed.


TANGMERE, W. SUSSEX – The Save Tangmere Tower campaign
received a major boost in mid‑June when Chichester District Council
approved a planning application for the phase one restoration of the
currently derelict Grade II listed building.


THRUXTON, HANTS – Rallye Commodore 180 G‑BAAI (CofA expired 11th
September 2000) was moved to the fire dump here during March 2019.


THURLBEAR, SOMERSET – Noted on 7th July at Gordon Salter’s strip
near Taunton were his X’Air G‑CBIC (Permit expired 11th October 2016)
& G‑CIWC together with G‑CBBH (with Permit expired 5th October
2013) no doubt stored for the Usk owner. A new X’Air was under
construction plus parts of two more.


TIBENHAM FARM, TIBENHAM, NORFOLK – New here, about 500
metres from Priory Farm, is Schweizer 269C G‑USCO, previously based
at Court Farm, Lullington in Somerset.


TREBROWN, LISKEARD, CORNWALL – A visit to Castle Air’s premises
here on 11th July found EPTS Agusta A109Es G‑ETPI & G‑ETPJ on
maintenance and changing over from the military register. Agusta
A109S G‑LCFC was in for its annual maintenance and a repaint, while
also present were Castle Air’s own Bell 206B JetRanger IIIs G‑OMDR
(CofA expired 13th February 2015), G‑SPEY & G‑XBOX and Agusta
A109s G‑DVIP, G‑MDPI & 2‑HELO.


TUTSHAM FARM, WEST FARLEIGH, KENT – Bell 505 JetRanger X
G‑IDFE is operating out of a private helipad here (visible on Google
Maps). It is a replacement for Aerospatiale AS350B G‑BRVO, which has
been sold and is now based at Elstree.


USWORTH, TYNE & WEAR – Recent changes at the North East Land,
Sea & Air Museums start off with the arrival of Auster J/1N G‑APKM
(cancelled as PWFU 12th October 2015), which has been swapped with
the South Yorkshire Air Museum at Doncaster for Dove G‑ARHX
(cancelled as PWFU 6th December 1978), which was latterly dismantled
here. As previously mentioned Brooklands Mosquito G‑AWIF (cancelled
by CAA 27th November 2018, painted as G-AVYW) is now here.
Also new is the Voltair G‑CHTX, previously at Hartlepool College,
which is part of a deal which has seen four engines go on loan to the
College for their new engine course. Finally Spitfire IX full scale model
BAPC.242 (marked as BL924/AZ-G) has arrived on loan from the Spitfire
Society and is currently in store. It was previously on display in Beale
Park, Pangbourne, Berks.


WARTON, LANCS – BAE Systems’ new corporate shuttle, Embraer EMB‑
145 G‑OFLX, arrived here on 8th July following a respray at East
Midlands. Airbus A319‑115CJ LX‑GVV visited on 3rd July as ‘SVW39VV’.


WELLESBOURNE MOUNTFORD, WARKS – A visit on 20th June found
Sportcruiser G‑KJBS (cancelled by CAA 12th June 2018) and Beech B55
G‑UROP (recent CHOW to a Haselor owner) in residence. A further visit on
23rd June found Cessna F172H G‑HILS among the residents with a CHOW
in progress. It was previously up for sale with AT Aviation Sales at
Dunkeswell. Skybolt G‑SBLT (no UK Permit to Fly issued) is no more than
a frame now and Slingsby T61C G‑AZMD (CofA expired 9th October 2017)
remains despite the address of the owner changing from Frome to Zurich!
Noted on 30th June was Cessna 172B N974SF (the former G‑ARID)
as yet unmarked.


WHITE WALTHAM, BERKS – A visit on 11th July found Chipmunk 22
G‑BCXN (marked as WP800/2) present following completion of its
rebuild at Turweston.
