According to the World Health Organisation,
more than 90 per cent of the world’s population
breathe polluted air. While we’re used to hearing
how damaging pollution can be to the skin,
little has previously been said about its effect on
the hair. Klorane, however, has discovered that
environmental aggressors can weaken your
scalp’s skin barrier, leading to increased
sensitivity. The new Aquatic Mint Shampoo
(£8; escentual.com) is rich in antioxidants and
gives a deep cleanse to the hair and scalp.

This spring, Philosophy launches its Hope & Grace initiative, supporting
mental health awareness and the charity Wish by encouraging women to ask
each other, “How are you, really?” The campaign has already supported
more than 500,000 women in North America, and this year Philosophy has
teamed up with former MIC star and singer-songwriter Caggie Dunlop to put
together this edited collection of skincare (£45; lookfantastic.com), with a
percentage of the profits going to the women’s mental health charity Wish.

Aladdin is one of several classic Disney films
getting a live-action remake this year, and you
can recreate Princess Jasmine’s sultry, glam
beauty with this limited-edition make-up
collection from Mac (from £15;
maccosmetics.co.uk). Inspired by
Arabian nights and exotic adventures,
you’ll find opulent colours with warm
undertones and scatterings of
shimmer.
