Thanks to your ever-present

iPhone or iPad, it’s easy to snap

a shot at any time or place. This

can result in thousands of photos

taking up valuable space on your devices. Even

if you store the full-size shots in your iCloud

account, you may still need to wade through

thousands of low resolution thumbnails on

your iPad to find the best photos. This runs

the risk of some great shots gathering digital

dust when they could be enjoyed by friends

and family.

Managing a huge collection of images is

a time-consuming challenge but fortunately

Gemini can scan through your iPad’s Photos

Library (and shots in the iCloud) to help you

discover images that you may not need to

keep. This could include duplicate shots,

screenshots that you’ve grabbed when using

the iPad, and photos that are blurry due to

cameras shake or focus problems. Gemini can

also collect similar shots together so that you

can keep the best version in the sequence

while deleting inferior alternative shots.

Thorough search

When launching Gemini it’s worth giving the

app permission to send you notifications. You

can then leave the app to rummage through

your photo library while you do something

else and it will notify when you can start

sifting through the potentially unwanted files

that it has located. You can use Gemini for free

thanks to a three day trial period, but you’ll

need to cancel the subscription before the end

of the trial to avoid paying an annual fee. It

costs £10.49 per year, or you can go for £2.

per month, or pay a £33.99 one-off price.
