Work a set-up round evenly around sleeve
opening to build a base for du-cls and
ensure st count is correct. Pay attention to
underarm section where Front and Back
are joined as you might be tempted to
work too many stitches since dd-cls can be
challenging to ‘read’.
Sleeves are worked to have extra length
for folding over and creating a cuff. Final
round of Sleeves is worked on WS, when
folded, the RS will be showing.

Join yarn under arm at side seam.
Rnd 1 (set-up) (RS): 1 ch, [1 dc into
highest point of next du-cl, 2 tr in
between du-cls] 16 (16, 18) times, join
with sl st in beg dc. Turn. 48 (48, 54) sts
Rnd 2: [3 ch (counts as first tr), 1 tr, 3 ch, sl
st] into same st as join (first du-cl made),

Cowl Collar

ensure st count is correct. Cowl is worked
as tube and is folded over itself once
finished. Final round is worked on WS,
when folded, RS will be showing.

Join yarn at centre neckline on Back.
Rnd 1 (set-up) (RS): 1 ch, 1 dc in same st
as join, 13 (13, 15) dc in foundation chains
of Back, [1 dc in high point of next du-cl, 2
tr in between du-cls] 5 times, 1 dc, 14 (14,
17) dc in foundation chs of Front, 1 dc, [
tr in between du-cls, 1 dc at high point
of next du-cl] 5 times, 12 (12, 13) dc into
foundation chs of Back, join with sl st to
beg dc. 72 (72, 78) sts
Rnd 2: [3 ch (counts as first tr), 1 tr, 3 ch, sl
st] into same st as join (first du-cl made),
