CONVERTSo, just to walk through GoToWebinar, start at the My Meetings page.
From there, you can Host a Meeting, Schedule a Meeting, or simply Join
a Meeting. (For some reason, GoToWebinar likes to refer to a webinar as
a meeting- don't let that confuse you.)
Under My Webinars, you will see all your scheduled meetings.
Scheduling a webinar is easy: Enter a webinar name, which is going to
be your signup page title. Type your description, which is going to be the
content and the body of the signup page, the date and time of the
webinar, and the audio preferences—you will using VoIP. Most of this is
all perfect for what you you’re going to need. Click Save and Continue
and go through the rest of the setup options.
When you reach the Branding page, I usually don't change anything here.
You can test some the different themes. I usually just do Basic.
In the “When attendees arrive, show them this welcome message” field,
usually I say something like, “We're going to start right on time, so make
sure you grab pen and paper, and are ready to get started.”
There are several fields you can choose to collect on the Sign-Up page. I
usually uncheck all of them except phone. If they provide their phone
number, that’s cool. Eventually, we will probably try a short SMS or text
messaging service. We have not started that yet, but I like to gather that
information anyway.
If you want to do a quiz when people sign up for your webinar,
GoToWebinar lets you do that.
“After registering, registrants will receive an email with information on
joining the Webinar.” Answer Yes to this one.
Then you may redirect registrants to a particular web page. When we talk
about the money-getting section, here you can send them to some sort of
continuity offer.
Next, click Save and “Email me the invitation.”
Now, you are going to get an email with links to go to the webinar
registration signup form.
It’s as simple as that. Now, all you have to do is wait until your date. You
sign in 10 to 15 minutes early. You click Start and then you will be
rocking and rolling from there. It really is just an awesome service.
