CONVERT
That's one of the biggest hurdles of webinars now: people will sign up
and then not show up. That's an issue because in order for somebody to
purchase, they need to actually see what it is you're selling. So you need
to do everything possible to get them to attend the webinar, not just sign
up for it.
The first thing is the headline. This is where your topic really comes back
up. We talked in an earlier section about topics and here is where it really
plays out. You can create a headline from a topic and it is going to frame
the entire webinar, and exactly what you are teaching.
Here are some examples:
- 5 Foods You Should Avoid When Losing Weight—that’s a
great webinar title and it’s also a great headline. The headline and
the webinar title oftentimes go hand-in-hand. - How to Make $100 a Day—another one that we have used very
successfully in the past and that kind of keys in succinctly to
what people's burning desire is. Their burning desire is not
necessarily to make $10,000 a day. Most people know
intrinsically that they can't do that, but they can make $100 a day,
and if they make $100 a day, then they will be able to quit their
day job or pay some of the bills, or whatever else it is. It is a
great middle ground, a great sticking point to use in a headline. - 3 Gardening Techniques That You Should Be Using—again,
there is a certain curiosity play here. Anyone interested in
gardening is going to want to know what those three techniques
are, and you can further quantify that by adding a feature or
benefit into this headline. 3 Gardening Techniques That Will
Help You Grow a Beautiful Garden or 3 Gardening Techniques
That Will Make Sure That Your Vegetables Won’t Get Washed
Out. - 7 Ways to Increase Your Productivity in an Hour or Less—
people look at that and think “I would love to get more work
done in less time, and if you tell me that that there's seven ways I
can increase productivity in under an hour, then that’s fantastic!”
The headline is really that initial grab. It is the initial interaction between
you and the prospect that is going to make them want to sign up for your
webinar. A good headline is going to solidify what you want folks to sign
up for. It’s going to lay out exactly what you're going to go over in the
webinar, exactly what they're going to learn, and the features and benefits
that are going to be delivered by them attending the webinar.
