CONVERT
One of the biggest things you can do on the webinar is announce buyers.
After the call to action, and during the Q&A session, say, “For those of
you that are buying, let me give you a shout-out. Post in the question box
that you purchased, and I'll call your name out.” People love it. People
love social proof; they also love hearing their name knowing that 500
people are also on this call. You can say, “Hey, thanks so much, Don, for
purchasing. We’re so happy to have you.”
When audience members hear other people's names being called after
buying the product, they feel they aren’t the only ones out there wanting
to buy the product. The social aspect of the call is huge with getting
people to buy. Announcing buyers is fantastic. The biggest webinars that
I have ever had have done this and announced buyers.
For introverts, or those not very confident with technology, you can
screw up. Tell them “This is live, so anything goes.” Use it as a benefit.
“This isn’t automated in any way. It’s live and I’m sitting here with my
four dogs on the other end of the line here, looking at my computer, and I
am so happy to have you here.” I've had my internet die with 600 people
on the line. I’m not saying that that was a fantastic thing, but it went out
for five or seven minutes. Out of 600 people, maybe 30 or 40 people
logged out, because they thought it was over, but the majority of them
stayed on. I just picked up and we still had a really great webinar. We
still sold $10,000 or $15,000 worth of product.
I always have misspellings in my PowerPoint. I don't necessarily edit
things quite as well as I probably should. Sometimes I include the wrong
link in the slide or the wrong affiliate. If Joe is my co-host and the one
promoting my webinar, I’ll have last week’s link for Bob. In the slide, it
will be domainname.com/Bob, and then I'll have to exit out of the
webinar, or exit out of the PowerPoint, change the link, put it back up
there, and say to everybody who wants to buy this product, it is
domainname.com/Joe.
Sometimes the audio doesn't come through as clear as you like. It's
totally okay what happens, because you are doing live. It’s an event and
it’s not scripted, so it's anything goes.
You will make sales as long as you offer something for sale. That’s all
there is to it. If you offer something, you will sell something.
