DAWN SHUCK lives in Tablerock Lake, outside Branson, MO with her husband, David. Hand sewing is Dawn’s first
love, and her “therapy”. At the age of 5, Dawn stitched her first project, a small potholder with a little stamped kitten
embroidered on it. She started sewing with a sewing machine in the second grade and the first thing she ever made
was a long patchwork skirt with an EXTREMELY large ruffle along the bottom. (Something her children refer to as
her flower-child years.) Dawn started quilting in the mid 90’s and has never stopped! About 13 years ago, her sister
introduced her to the wonderful world of wool and she immediately fell in love with everything about it, and now
uses wool in every design. She especially loves crazy quilting with wool, which combines her love of hand-stitching
and quilting. It also led to the development of her signature product, Crazy Stitches, a preprinted, water-soluble stitch
guide. Dawn and her husband enjoy their two rotten dogs Elvis and Presley, three children and 11 grandchildren.
