  1. THE NATURAL HIDEAWAY
    Andronis Concept, Greece
Nestled into a mountainside with breathtaking views of Santorini,
Andronis Concept is the ideal place to recharge. Conveniently located
on the famous footpath that runs from Oia to Skaros Rock, you will see
ramblers striding past throughout the day – from the comfort of your
private terrace complete with mini pool, of course. However, if you wish
to join them (highly recommended), the hotel organises morning hikes
with a local guide to one of Andronis’s other properties on the island.
If hiking doesn’t appeal, stay put and try the exceptional services at
the low-key Kallos Spa. It offers a hair-profiling test that, using a single
strand of hair, takes just 20 minutes to provide you with a full wellness
profile – this can then be used to create a detailed detox and
restoration programme for the duration of your stay. Rosie Vogel-Eades
Two-bedroom villa, from £4,853 for seven nights, Andronisconcept.com

  2. THE 3D BODY SCAN
    John Bell & Croyden, London
As part of John Bell & Croyden’s In Residence clinic, an Electro
Interstitial Scanner (EIS) is used to measure organ-function efficiency,
in order to identify any potential problems before they appear.
Go into a private room of this central London pharmacy and after
a three-minute non-invasive scan, during which electrodes are placed
on your hands, feet and forehead, you will be presented with a 3D
image of your internal organs and spine (as fascinating as it is unnerving).
Imbalances in vitamins, minerals, serotonin, pH and hormone levels will
be highlighted, as well as cerebral and digestive functions. Practitioner
Dr Vidhi Patel will explain the results, advise on further tests if more
investigation is needed, and recommend lifestyle and diet changes. Ideal
for anyone keen to understand the inner workings of their body. LM-S

  3. THE LIFE PROLONGER
The Longevity Health & Wellness Hotel, Portugal
The Longevity Health & Wellness Hotel in Alvor recently opened
to much fanfare, thanks to the success of its sister locations. The
hi-tech medical and wellness spa offers intensive detox treatments,
with unique therapies to target the chronic inflammation at the
root of illnesses such as rheumatoid arthritis and celiac disease. The
star treatment is the 21-day Longevity New Life programme, which
involves in-depth medical and holistic diagnostics tests to check
everything from early signs of skin cancer and sleep apnea, to digestive
and cognitive tests, with a prescribed list of more than 40 different
treatments to boost the body on an integrative and cellular level –
the goal being longevity of life. Lauren Murdoch-Smith
