We continue to be impressed by
the numbers you EcoBoost fettlers
are pulling out of the dinky 1.0-litre
motor, and Fraz has really pulled
out of the bag with this one. The
aim is to create ‘ the best EcoBoost
in East Yorkshire’ (Fraz is admin for
the growing East Yorkshire Ford
Owners Club, so that makes sense),
and this is a holistic build: the
looks are amped up by aggressive
RS-style Maxton bumpers, and
it sits super-low (and static) over
Rota Grids. But the big story is the
engine: with a Stage 3 Airtec FMIC,
Airtec induction, uprated hoses
and a hearty remap (with pops and
bangs) it’s putting out 180bhp.
That’s a ver y decent figure.
