Shim has done a commendable job in setting
up Kia Motors in India. Today, they have
established a manufacturing facility in
Andhra Pradesh with cutting-edge
technology and a fully equipped test-track as
well. As the MD and CEO of Kia Motors India,
Kookhyun Shim san has been given the
significant task of establishing and
expanding the company’s operations.
Shim has over three decades of experience

in the automotive sector, having previously
worked as head of Kia Motors Manufacturing
Georgia Plant Coordination Group and as
head co-ordinator of Kia production in
Slovakia. This is going to be a big year for Kia
because they are gearing up for the launch of
their first car in the country, the Seltos SUV.
Post that launch, we may also look forward
to the entry of the Grand Carnival premium
MPV.

Sharad Agarwal has been leading
Lamborghini India for a little over three
years now. He plays an important role in
Lamborghini’s activities in the
subcontinent, including sales, marketing,
network development, and after-sales. He
made the shift to the Italian supercar
manufacturer after gaining experience with
marques such as Audi India, TVS Motor
Company, and Mahindra First Choice. So, it is
safe to say that he understands the pulse of

the Indian market.
Sharad has an MBA from the T A Pai
Management Institute, Manipal, as well a B
Com (Commerce and Economics) from the
Delhi University.
In the past year, Agarwal has launched
successful customer events. On the sales
front, the Urus SUV is selling remarkably well
and the Huracán EVO has been launched.
What next? We sure hope the alluring
Huracán EVO Spyder is on the way.

P B Venugopal has done a brilliant job in
leading Lexus India towards the success they
are currently enjoying in the Indian market. He
is reputed for leading teams to achieve
revenue targets, award-winning milestones in
organizational development, and growth
along the way. He also has significant
experience in managing sales, dealer,
operational, and marketing functions.
Before this role, he has worked with Toyota
Kirloskar Motors, JCB, and Larsen & Toubro,
among others. Venugopal has a bachelor’s

degree in mechanical engineering and a
post-graduate degree in management with
specialisations in marketing, finance,
personnel management, and industrial
relations.
The Lexus ES 300h was an important
launch for the brand in the past year. As
always, they continue to maintain high
standards and the attention to detail we can
see in their cars is testimony to the brand’s
commitment. We also look forward to the
launch of the LC 500h.
