DOB 10/29/96 HOMETOWN Los Angeles CALLING Founder, cannabis brand
Think BIG EARLIEST MEMORY OF BIGGIE “There were pictures of [the No-
torious B.I.G., who died before C.J.’s first birthday], but it never clicked that
was my dad. His face looked threatening.” THE HEIRLOOM HE WANTS BACK
“My grandmother told me that the cane my dad had when he passed away
is still in LAPD possession after 20 years. I want to retrieve it.” THE B.I.G.
LEGACY “My dad said that the options for most black men were wicked
jump shots or slinging crack rocks. Even today, it’s not often that people
see a young black man that started his own company. I want to be a voice
for my generation who says we don’t all have to be rappers or play sports,
or fall into the wrong lane with the wrong people.”

DOB 8/10/93 HOMETOWN Strouds-
burg, Pennsylvania CALLING
Designer and owner, Notoriouss
Clothing
THE MOMENT SHE KNEW HER DAD
WAS FAMOUS “I was probably five
or six — that’s when you kind of get
the vibe and say, ‘OK, I see him on
TV.’ So you get the idea he’s not a
regular dad. But you realize how
famous your dad is when you’re
getting recognized and you’ve
never even been in the industry.”
BIGGIE’S NONMUSICAL HOBBIES
“My dad didn’t just rap, he could
draw. I didn’t get the musical skills,
but I can draw — that’s how
I got into sketching and fashion.”
HAS SHE SEEN THE DRAWINGS?
“No.”
THE FINE LINE BETWEEN HONOR-
ING YOUR FATHER AND FORGING
YOUR OWN WAY “I have a clothing
line, Notoriouss Clothing, which I
started my sophomore year of col-
lege. I wanted to pursue something
that was inspired by my dad so I
could continue the legacy. But even
though the name is influenced by
my dad, Notoriouss is not a Biggie
line — he has his own merch line.
This is not that.”
WHAT C.J. THINKS ABOUT HIS
HALF SISTER’S CLOTHING LINE
“I’ve always admired her for attack-
ing that.”
B.I.G. RESPONSIBILITY “I really
want my kids to understand my
dad’s legacy and what I did to
continue it. And I want them to be
able to do the same thing. I want
my kids to know how big their
grandfather is.”
