a D, skip the D, and sew back
through the two Bs just added to
form the third branch (k–l). Sew
back through the next four Bs and
back through the A your thread
exited at the start of this step (l–m).
Sew through the next two As on
the top surface of this unit (m–n).
8) Work as in step 7, except pick
up three Bs when forming the third
branch (n–o).
9) To complete the fringe embel-
lishment on the top surface, work
as before but go in reverse order,
starting with step 8 and ending
with step 2 after adding the one-
bead fringe.
10) Sew through the beadwork
to exit the bottom-surface outside
edge A in the end unit on the left
side, with the needle facing away
from the beadwork.
11) Work as in steps 2–9 to add
the fringe embellishment on the
bottom surface of the beadwork.
12) Locate the outside-face center
A between the top and bottom sur-
face of the earring. Attach an 8 mm
jump ring under the A (photo).
Attach the loop of an ear wire
to the jump ring.
