Work in Mock Rib until piece

measures 6.5cm, end with a RS

row.

Next row: (WS) – Purl, dec 4 (2,

0, 4, 2) sts evenly - 66 (74, 82, 90,

98) sts.

Next row: (RS) – Change to 6.5mm

needles and cont in Stst until piece

measures approximately 39.5 (40,

40, 41.5, 42) cm from beg, end

with a WS row.

Shape armholes

Cast off 3 (4, 5, 6, 7) sts at beg of

next 2 rows – 60 (66, 72, 78, 84)

sts.

Next row: (Dec Row – RS) – K1,

ssk, k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1.

Rep Dec Row every other row 2 (3,

4, 5, 6) more times – 54 (58, 62,

66, 70) sts.

Cont even in Stst until armhole

measures 18.5 (19.5, 21, 22, 24)

cm, end with a WS row.

Shape Shoulders

Next row: (Dec Row – RS) – K1,

ssk, k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1.

Rep Dec Row every other row once

  next 2 rows, then cast off 8 (8, 9,

CoLLar

Work even over rem sts until collar

measures 7.5cm. Cast off all sts.

Front

Work as for back until armhole

measures 5.5 (7, 8.5, 9.5, 11.5) cm,

end with a WS row.

Divide for Placket

K27 (29, 31, 33, 35), join new yarn

and k to end.

Work both sides even until armhole

measures 16 (17, 18.5, 19.5, 21.5)

cm, end with a WS row.

Shape Neck

Next row: (RS) – Work to 4 (5,

6, 6, 7) sts before placket, place

next 4 (5, 6, 6, 7) sts on a holder;

k next 4 (5, 6, 6, 7) sts on other

side of placket and place them on

a holder, k to end – 23 (24, 25, 27,

28) sts each side.

Working both sides at once, cast

off from each neck edge 2 sts

twice, then dec 1 st at each neck

Left Front Collar

With 6.5mm needles and RSF,

beg at shoulder edge, pick up and

knit 10 sts down neck edge, then

k across 4 (5, 6, 6, 7) held sts – 14

(15, 16, 16, 17) sts.

St st even until collar measures

7.5cm.

Cast off all sts.

Right Front Collar

With 6.5mm needles and RSF, beg

at placket edge, k across 4 (5, 6, 6,

7) held sts, then pick up and knit

10 sts up neck edge to shoulder –

14 (15, 16, 16, 17) sts.

St st even until collar measures

7.5cm.

Cast off all sts.

Placket Edging

With 6mm (US 10) needles and

RSF, beg at Left Front collar edge,

pick up and knit 24 sts down left

side of placket, 1 st from centre,

and 24 sts up right side of placket

• 49 sts.
  Next row: (WS) – P23, sl 1-p2tog-
  psso, p to end – 47 sts.
  Cast off all sts.
