COMING UP: Golden Gate Exposition
“I WANTED to give my husband,
Warren, something special for his
35th birthday in 1975,” writes
MARILYN MOHRHUSEN of
Morgan Hill, California. “I made
him this leisure suit. It was pretty
bright, but he wore it proudly.”
IN 1974, ANITA ALCORN, now of Oak Ridge,
Tennessee, talked her husband, Joe, into
entering a fashion show wearing the leisure
suit she made for him. He took first prize—
$15. She used his winnings to buy more
polyester knit.
