SHE’S BEEN ACTING since her
childhood, but Jennifer Love
Hewitt, 40, insists that becoming
a mother changed her craft for
the better! “Love, for me, was
something that sounded beautiful
but I had to use my imagination
to know what that was like,” says
the 9-1-1 star, who married actor
Brian Hallisay in 2013 and ismom to daughter Autumn, 5, and
son Atticus, 4. “The love that you
feel for your children opens you
up in a way that makes you more
vulnerable than you could possibly
imagine. It’s been an interesting
gift, because your job as an actor is
to crack yourself open emotionally
as much as possible.”
Like many moms, Jennifer hadreservations about going back to
work, but she feels she made the
right choice. “My kids handled it
so much better than I did!” she
confessed to Closer at the Fox
Summer TCA All-Star Party. “It’s
important to show your children
that you are something other than
their parent. My daughter thinks
it’s supercool that I have a fun job.”ACTORS BRADLEY WHITFORD

surprised their friends
when they announced
they had unexpectedly
wed in Santa Barbara,
Calif., in July. “It was a
really beautiful, teeny,
semi-elopement with our
kids, and it was lovely,” the
former West Wing ac tor, 59,
told Closer during the TCA
Summer Press Tour.
At the wedding, the
couple were joined by
their dogs, Izzy and Otis;
Bradley’s three children,
Mary, George and Frances,
from his marriage to JaneKaczmarek; and Amy’s
daughter with ex-husband
Jackson Lynch. “It’s been
really busy, so we only got
a couple of days [for our
honeymoon], but it felt
really good,” says Bradley,
who started up a romance
with the Transparent
actress in 2015.
What makes them such
a great couple? “I don’t
know,” he admits. “But
since I met her my blood
pressure has dropped. It’s
just been a very loving,
supportive relationship
that just sort of feels like
home. So it’s been good.”
