Truckin’ Life – August 2019

carried out the paintwork part of the
refurbishments and Ray is openly happy
with the outcome, as are we.
So many trucks each with its own
story to tell. This is what makes
the Penrith Working Truck Show
the nostalgic celebration that it is.
The registered not for profit charity
event is more than just a truck show,
drawing together the wider community
entertaining and educating people of all
ages in terms of the transport industry,
trucking and vehicle road safety. With
literally hundreds of the nations finest
trucks on display every year at the
prestigious and historical Museum
of Fire, the iconic fire education and
historical legacy stands for saving
families from the dangers of fire and
preserving our most valued sentiments.
The much-needed funds raised help to
care and share the collection and do so
much good within the community.
The unique Penrith Working Truck
Show would never be possible if not
for the support and hard work from
the Museum of Fire and the many
volunteers, businesses, locals and
patrons that pour through the gates
each and every year. So, if you missed
it we’ll see you in 2020 which, Mark
White has said, will commence on
Sunday March 29th. So let’s support our
trucking industry and fire fighters and
get amongst it for one of the greatest
trucking shows on earth.
