natural order of
society. Although to
begin with they felt
the guidance to be
unusually strict, yet
they soon saw in it
the incorruptible
justice with which
everything was
carried out. This was
finally expressed in a
genuine trust which
they unreservedly
placed in their
leadership, the need
for which they
perceived to be right.
Without guidance
there is no progress
in the entire
Creation. A long
chain of guides and
helpers, beginning
with the spiritual
Primordial Creation
right down to the
material Subsequent Creation, is unceasingly active in
the Will of God. Where there is development there also
must be leaders to guide and direct it. The earth is no
exception. Great human leaders, such as Moses, the
Prophets, Buddha, Lao-Tse, Zoroaster and Mohammed
are a few examples of this.

t is one of the great evils of past eras that there was a
growing lack of persons genuinely gifted with leader-
ship who, above all, possessed a comprehensive
knowledge of the Laws of Creation. Very often those
who were to be led themselves took the place of the
missing or unsuccessful leaders, or they were given
substantial right to participate in the leadership, which
resulted in considerable wrong developments.
Seen in this way, the desire for genuine leadership is
understandable; whose first duty is always to fulfil the
Will of God, Which He has anchored in His Laws of
Creation. But the fulfilment lies in interweaving these
Laws into everyday life on earth, and acting in accor-
dance with them.
The concept of equality had also changed. Equality
exists when the unconscious spirit-germs leave
Paradise. In this state they are all equal as regards the
gift of their still slumbering talents. Equal again are all
human spirits who return fully conscious to Paradise,
which implies equal spiritual maturity.
But between these lies the inequality of all the human
spirits on their journey from Paradise into the World of
ISTOCKMatter, and back to Paradise. The inequality is founded in

When one door of happiness closes, another
opens; but often we look so long at the closed
door that we do not see the one which has
been opened for us.
