Scarf


  • 1 50gm Ball Noro Silk Garden

  • 1 x 50gm 4 ply Ball Sublime Baby
    Cashmer Merino Silk


NEEDLES AND TOOLS
5.00mm knitting needles
7.00mm knitting needles
1 x 9.00mm circular needle

MEASUREMENTS
140cm x 12cm

TENSION
As per wool

SCARF
GETTING STARTED
Sequence of rows for scarf.
All garter knit rows.
Row 1: Noro.
Rows 2, 3, 4: Sublime.

WORKING PATTERN
Using 9mm circular needle cast on
140 sts. Working in sequence, break
yarn at end of row, leaving a tail of
around 20cm, at beginning and end of
each row.
Repeat sequence 7 times, cast off
loosely with Noro.
Knot three strands at a time to form
tassles at each end of scarf.

BEANIE
Using 5.00mm needles cast on 80sts.
Row 1: * K2 P2 * rep to end of row.
Row 2: * P2 K2 * rep to end of row.
Work 10 rows of rib.

Change to 7.00mm needles.
Continue in garter stitch (Knit every
row) until piece measures 20cm.
Next Row: * K1, K2tog * repeat to
last 2 sts. K2.
Next Row: Knit to end.
Next Row: * K2tog * repeat to end of
ro w.

MAKING UP
Break off yarn leaving a long tail. Thread
through remaining stitches and draw
tightly, securing with backstitch before
sewing side seam with mattress stitch.
