Can you see what’s wrong with this sen-
tence: “Your’e the only one of you”? Of
course you can. The apostrophe is in the
wrong place. The word should be “You’re”.
But the people who made Taylor Swift’s
merchandise couldn’t see anything
wrong with “Your’e”. Now, the 29-year-
old singer is getting a lot of criticism for
the error. The line is on T-shirts that began
selling in April, and is from Swift’s new
song, “Me!,” which also has the line “Spell-
ing is fun.” One fan wrote on Twitter,
“There’s a typo on the new Taylor Swift
merch! So much for ‘Spelling is fun,’ am I
right?” Spelling may be fun, but punctua-
tion, it seems, is less interesting.

Lovelace. She uses a camera in her eye,
a robotic arm and a pencil to draw what
she sees.
Famous because: She had her first solo
art exhibition — of 20 paintings, eight
drawings, four sculptures and two videos
— at Oxford University this summer, and
is to have a second exhibition in London.
Her art has already sold for more than £
million.
Quote: Programmed to speak, Ai-Da says,
“I like art because it has such power to
communicate.”

Being good to
the planet
EASY
Members of the Martin family of Ab-
erdeen, Scotland, are trying to live a life
that is good for the planet. Parents, Ra-
chel and Ben, and their two children,
Elizabeth, 9, and Daniel, 12, live a low-
carbon lifestyle. They avoid contributing
to emissions from the meat industry and
transport by growing vegetables and be-
ing vegetarian, by walking or cycling most
places, and by going on holiday in the UK.
Rachel, who buys second-hand clothes to
avoid fast fashion, told the BBC, “I think
people think we’re a bit weird, truth be
told.”
