8 – Aarushi Shetty is a magazine sub-
editor from India, whose love of English
brought her to England where she is
currently studying for an MA.


10 – Jill Munro's first poetry collection
was published in 2015. She won the Fair
Acre Press Pamphlet Competition and
the Hawthornden Fellowship in 2018.


12 – Anastasia Gammon is a writer
from Cornwall, England. Her work has
appeared in Cornish Short Stories: A
Collection of Contemporary Cornish
Writing and a number of places online.


14 – Beth Lincoln is a writer from
Durham. A Penguin Random House
WriteNow 2017 mentee, she is writing
a novel and a short story collection.


18 – Andrea Holck is an American-born
writer and teacher based in London. She
would like us to make it clear that her
story Side Gig is not autobiographical.


22 – Stephen Daultrey is a freelance
editor, journalist and copywriter. He is
a 2019 Faber Academy graduate and is
currently writing his first novel.


24 – Nanci Gilliver is 26 and has a First
class degree in English and American
Literature from Keele University. She is
a teaching assistant in a primary school.


26 – Florianne Humphrey is an English
journalist and author of two novels.
One of her short stories was shortlisted
for the 2018 Bridport Prize. She runs
writing workshops in the North East.


28 – Farhana Khalique is from London.
Her writing has appeared in The Good
Journal, sisterhood magazine, Dividing
Lines, City of Stories and Bath Flash
Fiction Award anthologies.

30 – Michael Dmytruk is a poet, artist
and musician who lives in Peterborough.
His poem Noah's Fantasy Ark is about
using fantasy to escape ordinary life.

32 – Jen Lua Allan was born and raised
in Scotland on the stories of her Chinese-
Fillipina mother and British father. She
is an A&E doctor in Edinburgh and also
writes fiction and essays.

38 – Joanne Ramos was born in the
Philippines, raised in the US, and
worked in banking before becoming an
author. Her bestselling debut novel The
Farm is published by Bloomsbury.

40 – Ursula Brunetti is from London.
A recent Faber Academy graduate and
finalist for the Harper's Bazaar Short
Story Competition 2019, she is working
on a novel and a short story collection.

46 – Steven Borg is a 27-year-old writer
of poetry and short stories. His poem
Model Faces was written in response to
reality television and social media.

48 – Angela Arnold is an artist and
writer from Wales. Her work has
been published in various English and
Scottish magazines. Her poem was
inspired by a childhood daydream.
