Rear Pod 3 Kombi
A rear kitchen pod, this flat pack for DIY construction is designed to
fit behind the second row of seats in the T6/T5 bus and can be easily
removed when not required. It is a practical solution to summer camping
and is simple and easy to fit into the van, requiring no electrical connection. It
provides space for 2 x 13 litre water bottles with taps which simply slide out
to use, no pump required.
It has 2 soft close 550 mm drawers and a full extension slide out designed
for an Indel B T18 compressor 12V fridge. The large flap down work surface
has wire cable supports for strength, comes with evomatic catches as
standard and has a pull out section for a cooker.
Bedding can be stored on top of the rear pod 3. The top surface can even be
used as a top support for a higher level bed extending over the folded seats.

The AFO Fire Extinguisher Ball
Claims to be ‘the most advanced product in the fire industry’ to ‘reduce the disaster and irreparable loss
caused by fire’. The FE Ball is light and portable and could extinguish the initial fire. It is made of a water-
proof plastic shell and filled up with harmless environmental powder. It is a fully automatic fire extinguisher.
When thrown or rolled into the fire, it will burst and extinguish the fire immediately. You can also place
it into known hotspots such as an air cooled Volkswagen engine bay. I’ll admit that it all sounds a bit far
fetched until you read a bit more and watch the amazingly convincing videos at afofireballs.com I have never
seen a product more apparently suited to putting out a fire in a confined space and there’s one on test in the
noisy cupboard of the barefoot bay. I shall report back with much urgency if it does anything more than just
sit there for the next five years.
I bought it from ebay and paid just twenty quid.
Supplementary Storage Solutions
Designed as an On-Seat Car Organiser, this clever Lusso Gear foldaway fits the gap
between the front seats almost perfectly. It features 8 storage compartments for maps,
phones, tissues & wet wipes, sandwiches and all of the assorted junk that you need to hand
whilst travelling and which would, in an ideal world, all fit easily into the glovebox, but just
doesn’t! There’s also a secure zippered compartment, built in cupholders, it’s removable to
cart stuff into the awning or outside for a picnic. It weighs and costs very little, comes in a
selection of colours to match your bus and best of all, it folds flat and tucks away behind the
seat when you’re not using it! It costs just under eighteen quid from Amazon
