(PN SUM-HT214) and trays (PN SUM-
150132) supplied by Summit Racing.
10After installation of the camshaft and
cam retaining plate, we set the engine
at TDC then bolted the Comp 4X timing
gear set (PN 3172KT) in place using ARP
hardware (PN 134-1002).
11To further maximize flow,
the TFS GenX heads also
featured full CNC porting
on the intake, exhaust, and
combustion chambers.14To ensure the boost stayed inside
the engine, we installed a set of ARP
head studs (PN 234-4344) and JE MLS
head gaskets.
12The Trick Flow GenX 215 heads
(PN TFS-30610001-C01) featured
13.5-degree valve angles, a 2.040/1.575
valve combo, and 64cc combustion
chambers. Changing the valve angle from
15-degrees decreases valve shrouding for
increased mid-lift airflow and improved
rocker arm clearance.
