is The Power Of
Now by Eckhart
Tolle. The title
seems to have a
metaphoric bearing
on the turn that Rakul Preet
Singh’s career has now
taken. After a glorious run
down South, she’s enjoying
the limelight in Hindi
films with Luv Ranjan’s
rom-com De De Pyaar De
(DDPD), alongside Ajay
Devgn and Tabu.
The May-December
romance has been lapped
up by the audience and
so has Rakul’s role as girl-
now Ayesha. Directed
by Akiv Ali, it’s the story
of a 50-year-old falling
in love with a girl in her
20s, even as his ex-wife
is still on the anvil of his
life. Talking about the
film Rakul says,“Love can
happen at any age. Age is
just a number. It’s about
how young you’re at heart.
It’s a progressive film.” So
saying, she cites examples
of real-life couples like
Saif Ali Khan-Kareena
Kapoor, Priyanka Chopa-When you have talented
actors like Ajay sir (Devgn) and
Tabu ma’m around, you push
yourself to the maximum limit.

level. If you get nervous, then

Delhi-born, Rakul Preet,
was always a head turner.
The beautiful model made
her acting debut in the
Kannada film Gilli (2009).

Talented, Miss Beautiful
Smile and Miss Beautiful
Eyes. Showbiz then seemed
the obvious choice for this
stunner. She made her
Telugu debut in Keratam
and her Tamil debut in
Thadaiyara Thaakka in
the same year. Featuring in
South hits like Venkatadri
Express, Current Theega,
Kick 2, Sarrainodu and
Theeran Adhigaaram
Ondru, she established
herself as a superstar in
Telugu cinema. Recently,
she was seen in the biopic
N. T. R. Kathanayakudu,
