Surf Spots:
TAGHAZOUT: Thanks to the geology of the area there are
plenty of points and reefs here with half-a-dozen notable spots
within walking distance of the village, including Killer Point (a
long right) and Anchor Point.
TAMRHAKHT, DEVIL’S ROCK AND BANANA BEACH:
Popular spots for intermediate surfers and longboarders.
IMSOUANE: Home to two right-hand points, The Bay and
Cathedral Point. The Bay is a longboard-friendly mega-peeler
and Cathedral Point is a more exposed right-hander that works
from mid- to high-tide.
ESSAOUIRA TO TANGIERS: Along with dozens of fun
beachies, two of the top spots along this long stretch of
coastline are Dar Bouazza (a long left point just south of
Casablanca) and Bouznika (a right point between Casa’ and
Rabat). Booties are recommended.

Downtime in Morocco:
SHOP AT: The markets (also known
as souks) are buzzing hives of
colour, scent and flavour. There’s
Souk el Had in Agadir, or day trip
to Marrakesh for a variety of vibrant
options including Djemaa el-Fna for
the main square, Souk el Attarine
for spices, Mellah for fabrics and
Souk Smata for leather footwear.
VENTURE TO: Paradise Valley,
a section of the Tamraght River
valley in the Moroccan High Atlas
mountains, known for its abundance
of beautiful rock pools, small
waterfalls and palm trees.
TRY: Sandboarding and a cooking
course.
