Chopard announces Chinese actress
Zhang Ziyi as its new global brand
ambassador during the 72nd Cannes Film
Festival, at a dinner on the rooftop of Hôtel
Martinez. The beauty, best known for her
turn in Lee Ang’s 2000 hit Crouching Tiger,
Hidden Dragon, is celebrating her 20th year
in showbiz this year and was chosen as she
personifi es “all the emotions evoked
by Chopard creations”.

Mikimoto has returned to The Shoppes at Marina Bay
Sands with a fl agship boutique at a new, more prominent
spot on the mall’s fi rst level. In homage to the birthplace
of pearls, the boutique is designed with elements
reminiscent of the ocean, such as golden lines across the
store’s façade that mimic the silhouette of waves. The
shopping experience also gets more intimate with the
addition of a plush VIP room.
