My daughter Ellie, 26, was

watching TV next to me and we

chatted as the ball numbers

were called.

I watched as the

auto dauber bobbed

across my bingo

cards marking off

my numbers. Then

one player won the

first line and then

another the second,

when suddenly

I saw I only needed

number 87 for a Full House!

Staring at the screen, I saw

the ball with 87 appear.

I couldn’t believe my eyes.

In shock, I didn’t even say

a word for a

few seconds.

I’d scooped

the Full

House!

‘Ellie, I’ve

won £1,500!’

I told her. ‘What? I don’t believe

it!’ she said, looking at my screen.

We double-, triple-checked,

but it was definitely right.

Overjoyed, we decided to

tuck into some chocolates I’d

been keeping for

a special occasion.

The next day,

I gave Ellie and my

two sons Sam, 33

and Jack, 30, some

cash, and treated

my granddaughter,

5, to some new toys.

‘Thanks Nanny,’

she beamed.

It was so lovely to spoil

my family with my win.

But as soon as I’d scooped the

jackpot, I’d known what I would

spend most of the money on....

That weekend, I video-called

my sister Sandra again.

‘I wasn’t expecting another

call from you this week,’ she said.

‘I’m coming to see you!’ I cried.

Explaining about my win, we

watched each other jump for

joyacrossthepond.
