Air Do plans to replace its B767 fleet in fiscal 2023 with next-
generation mid-sized aircraft.

Air Europa [UX/AEA] [Spain] and CanaryFly (Spain) have reached a
codeshare agreement for inter-island flights, as the Spanish carrier will
no longer compete on the routes. CanaryFly will add to its fleet of
ATR72-500s, operated by Air Europa Express.
Air Europa owner Juan Jose Hidalgo says the B737 MAX grounding
has caused “great damage” to the airline, and the carrier hopes to
reach a deal with Boeing on the matter.
The carrier launched two new routes from Madrid to Casablanca
and Tunisia in early June 2019 with E195.
Air Europa has marked E195 EC-LKM (19000425) with special
“Guardia Civil 175 anos a tu lado” titles to celebrate 175th anniversary
of Guardia Civil.
Air Europa and Copa Airlines have begun a commence reciprocal
codeshare partnership, with the former beginning Madrid – Panama
City services on 03Jun19. The planned codeshare routes cover the
following:

  • Panama City – Guatemala City, Panama City – San Salvador
    Skyteam members AeroMexico and Air Europa have expanded their
    codeshare partnership, covering additional routes via Madrid and
    Mexico City. These codeshare routes gradually went into effect from
    10Jun19 (or earlier).:
    Air Europa operated by AeroMexico

  • Mexico City – Barcelona, Mexico City – Leon/Guanajuato, Mexico
    City – Merida, Mexico City – Oaxaca, Mexico City – Queretaro


Air France [AF/AFR] [France] and KLM (Netherlands) will effectively
swap the remaining firm six B787 and seven A350 orders between
them in 2021-2023: KLM will pick up the B787s and Air France will pick
up the A350s. Options for further fleet development at Air France
within the Air France-KLM group are currently under study, in
consultancy with all stakeholders. The group is mulling an order for
B737 MAX, A320neo and A220 aircraft types to renew its short- and
medium-haul fleet and is also considering the timetable for the exit of
its A380 fleet.
Air France’s pilots’ union has voted 97% in favour of beginning
negotiations with Air France management in order to increase the
number of aircraft in the Transavia (France) fleet, currently capped at
40 aircraft.
Air France/KLM/Delta is celebrating 10 years of transatlantic co-
operation.
Air France-KLM will withdraw the remainder of its B747 fleet –
seven B747-400Ms and three B747-400s – from service by 2021. The
freighters will remain for now.
The Skyteam member has revised its planned A350-900XWB
service on the Paris CDG – Bamako – Abidjan route, now scheduled
from 07Oct19, instead of 23Sep19.
Air France has released additional changes to its planned winter
2019/20 long-haul operation, effective from 27Oct19. The planned
changes are as follows:


  • Paris CDG – Abidjan eff 29Oct19: Nonstop sector increases from
    10 to 12 weekly (Previous plan: 11 weekly)

  • Paris CDG – Bangalore: 381-seater 777-300ER replaces 280-seater
    777-200ER during following (CDG departure): 16Dec19 – 31Dec19,
    06Jan20 – 09Feb20

  • Paris CDG – Delhi eff 09Dec19: 381-seater 777-300ER replaces
    312-seater 777-200ER (777-300ER in W18 operated from 28Oct18)

  • Paris CDG – Fortaleza eff 27Oct19: 312-seater 777-200ER replaces
    A340-300, 3 weekly

  • Paris CDG – Mumbai: Boeing 777-200ER/-300ER (280 and
    381-seater respectively) replaces A340-300
    27Oct19 – 08Dec19 772 Daily
    09Dec19 – 12Feb20 77W Day x4 772 Day 4
    13Feb20 – 28Mar20 77W Daily

  • Paris CDG – Seoul Incheon: 777-200ER replaced by following
    aircraft:

    For the winter 2019/20 season, Air France A340-300 aircraft are
    scheduled to operate the following routes:


01Jun19; Dusseldorf-Antalya & Munich-Antalya from 02Jun19;
Hannover-Antalya on 07-08Jun19; and & Dusseldorf-Antalya from
08Jun19.


Air Canada [AC/ACA] [Canada] and Transat AT (Canada) have
concluded a definitive arrangement agreement that provides for Air
Canada’s acquisition of all issued and outstanding shares of Transat
and its combination with Air Canada for approximately US$395.4
million. The Air Transat brand will remain and continue to be based in
Montreal.
Air Canada has extended its leased Qatar Airways A330-200 operations
on its Montreal to Barcelona and Paris CDG routes until 29Sep19.
Air Canada has been voted the best carrier in North America in the
Skytrax 2019 Airline Awards.
Air Canada has released planned service revisions for its two-class
285-seater A330-300 aircraft, with minor changes to service entry
dates:



  • Montreal – Algiers eff 08Jun19: A330-300 replaces rouge 767
    (Previous plan: eff 06Jun19)

  • Montreal – Dublin eff 29Jun19: A330-300 replaces rouge 767 (S18:
    Mainline 737 MAX 8; rouge 767 operates 23May19 – 27Jun19)

  • Vancouver – Dublin eff 30Jun19: A330-300 replaces rouge 767, 4
    weekly (Previous plan: eff 16Jun19)


Air Canada has expanded its codeshare partnership with Air China,
covering additional routes to/from Beijing. The codeshare routes listed
below commenced on 20May19 (or earlier).

Air Canada has released additional service changes for Hawaii, with its
leased Omni Air 767-200ER service extended to early Sep19.



  • Vancouver – Honolulu 02Jun19 – 02Sep19: Omni 767 replaces 737
    MAX 8, service reduces from 7 to 4 weekly

  • Vancouver – Kahului 04Jun19 – 31Aug19: Omni 767 replaces 737
    MAX 8, service reduces from 7 to 3 weekly


Air Canada has adjusted planned operational aircraft changes on
various Transborder routes from Toronto, previously scheduled from
May and June 2019. The planned aircraft changes are now scheduled
from 03Sep19, including selected frequency increase to Minneapolis/
St. Paul and Philadelphia:



  • Toronto – Charlotte eff 03Sep19: Embraer E175 replaces CRJ200, 2
    daily (Previous plan: eff 01May19)

  • Toronto – Memphis eff 03Sep19: Embraer E175 replaces CRJ200, 1
    daily (Previous plan: eff 01May19)

  • Toronto – Minneapolis/St. Paul eff 03Sep19: Increase from 3 to 4

Air China [CA/CCA] [China] added two A350s and three A320 series
aircraft in May 2019, and retired two A320 series aircraft. As at the end
of May 2019, the Group operated a fleet of 675 aircraft.
Air China, China Eastern & China Southern are seeking
compensation from Boeing for losses caused by grounding of MAX
aircraft.


Air Corsica [XK/CCM] [France] is operating shuttle flights for Airbus
between Toulouse and Nantes & St Nazaire using ATR42-500 F-HAIB
(637).


Air Cote d’Ivoire [HF] [Ivory Coast] plans to fly long-haul within the
next 10 years, while its three A320neos due for delivery in 2020-21 will
add to its regional expansion.


Air Do [Japan] forecasts fiscal 2019 operating profit of US$11 million
and net profit of $4.6 million. For fiscal 2020, net profit is forecast to
be $5.5 million.
