J fi p y completed
t q g q p p ones Award
for Hand-Guided/ Custom Longarm Machine Quilting. A
traditional design which was truly enhanced, rather than
swamped by the longarm quilting. Second place went to
‘Pennsylvania’ by Gwenfai Rees Griffi ths along with the Hand
Quilting award. Being a hand quilter by heart this one was one
for me to learn from! Her hand quilting stitches were so neat
and precise and the traditional design was based on a Orange
Peel with intricate appliqué and a large scalloped edge. Third
place went to ‘Poetry in Motion’ by Helen Brookham, long
arm quilted by Sandy Chandler. Sandie Lush chose this as her
Judge’s Choice.I’m going to take a break from the quilts and tell you a little
about the show itself. The parking was, as always, organised
and easy. The cafe can be a little busy at lunchtime but//qMoving onto the Bed Quilts ‘Red Star at Night’p
