Our group got together in 2003 following a talk about quilting
in our local ladies circle (Merched y Wawr). Some of us were
fascinated by the quilts we saw that night and were keen to
learn the craft. Luckily for us a lady who had just joined our
group said that she would teach us.

So, we got together with Hilary Miles as our tutor, who is
an accomplished quilter herself. She had moved back to
Wales from Eastbourne, where she had learned her craft.
She had many years experience and we were so lucky to
have such a gifted tutor. We met every week for the next
five years and under her guidance we have produced some
beautiful work not only for ourselves but for many charities
including the National Eisteddfod, the local Alzheimer's
