Summer wouldn’t be Summer
without a visit to Longleat to get
the lowdown on the safari park’s furry,
feathery and scaly residents! There’s a
buzz in the air due to the arrival of five
gorgeous Southern koalas from Adelaide.
But have the keepers selected the right
variety of eucalyptus to satisfy their fussy
new charges? Meanwhile, young male lion

Harry is preparing to head up a new pride,
but will he cut the mustard? And as Ben
Fogle helps the white rhinos cool down,
Kate Humble sets the sea lions a challenge
and Jean Johansson tests the wolves’ sense
of smell with zebra poo! Continues all
week – but brace yourselves for a shocking
tragedy... ★★★★★ CC

Who Do You Think You Are?
● REAL LIFE / 9pm / BBC1
The discoveries that Jack Whitehall and
his dad Michael make when they look into
their family history together are pretty
harrowing but, somehow, their cheeky banter
makes this one of the most entertaining, if
slightly irreverent, episodes we’ve seen!
First, they uncover the incredible story of
Michael’s grandfather, Richard Whitehall,

who lost both parents to syphilis, then later
inherited a fortune. But Jack’s seriously
outraged when he learns about the role his
Welsh four-times great-grandfather Thomas
Phillips played in trying to bring down the
Chartists who were fighting to extend the
vote in the 19th century... ★★★★★ CC

assistant in this uplifting series. Once again she is working
at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Essex, this time out across
high-risk wards. Emma follows Vicky, who’s expecting
twins and undergoes an emergency C-section, and when
Josie needs assistance during labour, Emma jumps at the
chance to witness her first water birth. ★★★★ RM
