Living and Loving – August 2019

(Nandana) #1
SPAR is giving this month’s
charity, The Grace Factory,
a R5 500 voucher to help
in its efforts to provide
support to people in need.
A community can be anyone.
It can be all the neighbours
in your street, and it can be
a group of mothers trying
to provide the best they
can for their loved ones.
SPAR acknowledges that no
matter what, hundreds of
communities out there rely
on each other to get by.
SPAR celebrates being a
part of these communities.

This month, we feature The Grace Factory.

T

he Grace Factory,
with branches in
Johannesburg, Cape
Town and Vaal Triangle,
is an independent registered
non-profit organisation with a
commitment to assist moms and
babies in need with the ultimate
aim of restoring hope to new
mothers. Their aim is to achieve
this goal by providing maternity
packs to moms who are not able
to afford the basic essentials at
the time of their baby’s arrival.
So far, they have brought
a ray of hope to over 10 000
anxious new mothers and their
babies, and assisted numerous
homes with baby goods. They
donate to government hospitals,
clinics, children’s homes
and other organisations.
The vision of The Grace Factory
is that no mother delivers a baby

in our communities without
having the basic baby essentials
for herself and her baby during
the first few days of her newborn
baby’s life.
