breathe a bit, mix with the cast and be directed
by someone else. It was nice to step back. It was
a huge learning curve for us both. I wish I
could remember the script as easily as she did.
I did the movie primarily for her as she’s the
natural talent and it was time for her to do a
full feature. That’s what she wanted, too. When
I do something I do it wholeheartedly.
“The first screening at Roxy Cinemas
[Dubai] – complete with red carpet – was a
huge success. Somehow, we pulled it off. Since
the premiere we’ve had so much publicity that
we have funding to polish and finish the
movie, as it hasn’t been distributed yet – we
hope it will be in September.”
Has this given you a taste for the silver screen?
“Yes. I plan to do something in France – a
spooky thriller called The Haunting of
Lanquetot, directed by Shane Cairn. I’ll be
