3 things to do in your
French garden in August

 Plant your winter vegetables
You may be in the middle of harvesting all those
lovely summer salad vegetables, but winter is
(sadly) on the horizon. Now’s the perfect time to
plant your winter vegetables such as carrots,
radish and turnips.

 Cut your lawn short
If it’s as hot a summer as you’d hope, there’s the
chance of your lawn getting scorched. Take
advantage of the fine weather and cut it short so
that doesn’t happen.

Keep an eye on water levels
If you’re going on holiday, make sure the roots of
your plants are really well-watered, so they have
a reserve of water to use while you’re not there.
